Study Data Science at National College of Ireland

Data Science is an inter-disciplinary field that builds on computer science, mathematics, statistics and machine learning. NCI’s BSc Honours in Data Science - new to the CAO for 2019 - is a practical course that covers the essentials: programming, maths, stats and databases, as well as problem solving, machine learning and communication. For students who are not sitting a higher level maths exam for the Leaving Cert, NCI will be holding a Mathematics Qualifying Examination. This will offer candidates an alternative route to achieve the minimum entry requirement of H5 in Maths. Preparation classes for the exam will take place in August. Within this context, National College of Ireland has developed a suite of education courses. This is a part-time teacher education course, designed to provide the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies to enhance your teaching in further education institutions. The course seeks to develop your knowledge and skills in the understanding and application of education theory. Find out more about NCI’s education courses.
