Setanta College are delighted to launch their Master of Science in Performance Coaching programme with new education partner, the Irish American University. At a recent meeting at the IAU Irish campus – American College Dublin, Setanta College academic staff met with the IAU team to finalise details on the new partnership and sign the official agreement. Setanta College President Dr. Liam Hennessy and IAU President Dr. Joe Rooney put pen to paper on what is a truly innovative partnership. The Master of Science in Performance Coaching is awarded by Irish American University under its accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, one of the world’s leading accrediting bodies. Students of the programme will gain a credential that is in exceptionally high demand – not only within elite sports and human performance related activities, but indeed within the world of general exercise, fitness, wellness, and the performing arts. With the global demand for professionals in Performance Coaching increasing, Setanta College in conjunction with IAU will bridge the gap between educational, coaching, and application needs.

Setanta College are partners with global Sports Organisations to provide bespoke education for their members. These partnerships give a wide range of sportspeople the opportunity to develop themselves as athletes in their chosen sport and enhance their coaching skills to provide guidance and counsel to fellow players and athletes.

Since 2015, Setanta College has been working with a range of Irish fire fighters to create a bespoke Wellness Programme. With Tipperary Fire and Rescue Service leading the programme, it’s the first of its kind in this country to be launched with the aim to support the health and wellness of firefighters. The programme consists of four key stages that include personalised fitness testing and exercise programmes and ongoing education to support fellow firefighters and community groups.
