HECA is governed by a formal Board structure, with each member being entitled to appoint one representative to the HECA Board. The HECA Board, in turn, elects a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and Treasurer. The Board is supported by the Executive Director and meets monthly. Each member has equal representation, with each Board member having one vote. Annual membership fees are determined by the Board with all membership applications requiring approval by 75% of the HECA Board.
