HECA Research Conference 2026 - Call for Abstracts

The HECA Research Conference celebrates the diversity of research, scholarship and creative practice taking place across HECA member higher education institutions. It brings together staff, students and graduates to share their work, exchange ideas and build connections across disciplines, while highlighting the contribution of research to higher education and society.

We invite abstracts for presentations at the HECA Research Conference 2026, which will take place in person at Griffith College Dublin on Tuesday, 8 December 2026. Abstracts are invited from staff, students and recent graduates of HECA member higher education institutions and should reflect the breadth of research taking place across the sector.

Submissions are welcomed from all disciplines. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Technology and Artificial Intelligence
  • Education and Pedagogy
  • Health, Mental Health and Wellbeing
  • Business, Innovation and the Future Economy
  • Sustainability and Environmental Challenges
  • Creative Practice, Design and the Humanities
  • Research Ecologies
  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Who Should Submit?

We welcome submissions from academic and professional staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students, and recent graduates from HECA member institutions.

Whether you are presenting work in progress or completed research, the conference provides an opportunity to share your work with colleagues from across the sector, receive constructive feedback, exchange ideas, and contribute to conversations that extend beyond disciplinary boundaries.

Submission Guidelines

We look forward to receiving your submission and to welcoming you to a day of research presentations, discussion and exchange.
